Geesh, no wonder Jesus wasn’t married (or was he?)

They say that Jesus spent alot of time with men.  Twelve disciples, hanging around together all the time?  Could it be?

Probably not. Personally, I think he was married to Mary Magdalene (who was not a prostitute, as is often portrayed) but for some reason, the accepted version of the Bible has kept him single and celibate, which would certainly confirm his divinity, as the human male is destined to be thinking about sex all the time.

So, I found this website, The CatholicSource: rochesterturning.com RSS Feed

Conservatives Wrong on Polanski Extradition

Roman Polanski

The director Roman Polanski is a significant artist of international stature. He is also 76 years old. More than 30 years ago, Polanski had sex with an underage girl in California. The judicial proceedings which took place at the time were improperly influenced by the superfluity of media attention focused on a famous Hollywood director entangled in a sex scandal.

Five more Iranian Nuclear sites have been discovered, according to the following report. Why wouldn't Iran go full force ahead with their nuclear ambitions? Big thanks to Shoq for tipping me off to this segment.

It's hard to cogitate when you're immersed in the cesspool that passes for political debate nowadays that this country has actually seen worse days than this. Our economy has been worse, unemployment was higher and journalism was just as yellow.

Is the Earth Actually Cooling?

Opponents of action on climate change are doing their worst to interpret the data to obfuscate the unmistakable trend of global warming. Today, their bamboozlement made it into the newspaper of record. The canard that global temperatures are somehow stabilizing or even cooling off was repeated in the New York Times:

The drug price issue is ripe for demagoguery

Commentary by James Shott
Politicians love issues that get voters upset and they use them to attract votes. One of those is the cost of drugs and the evil, greedy pharmaceutical industry. People think they’re being ripped off when pills cost more than a few cents each, and some enterprising politician will likely use that issue to his or her advantage.
You can make the argument that a drug that is effective in treating a serious medical condition is worth whatever it costs, butSource: Faultline USA RSS Feed

New at Reason: Radley Balko on Shaken Baby Syndrome

Beginning in the late 1980s, the U.S. saw a surge in the number of people prosecuted for shaking infants to death. Research at the time suggested that the presence of three particular symptoms could only mean a child had been vigorously shaken to death, and the that the assault took place just before the infant lost consciousness.

But as Senior Editor Radley Balko explains, in the early 2000s, the medical consensus on shaken baby syndrome began to shift. In the meantime, thousands ofSource: Reason Magazine - Hit Run RSS Feed
